54th Anniversary and Professor Senaka Bibile Commemoration - 2025

We, the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, proudly celebrated our 54th Anniversary and Professor Senaka Bibile Commemoration on 26th September at the Grand Maitland in Colombo 07. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, Honorable Speaker of Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni, Deputy Minister of Health and Mass Media.

The celebration honored Professor Bibile’s lasting legacy and his significant contributions to Sri Lanka’s National Drug Policy. It brought together professionals from the health and education sectors, academics, policymakers, and SPC employees, reflecting our collective commitment to his vision. The event featured a segment recognizing the dedicated efforts of our staff, alongside a meaningful tribute to Professor Bibile’s impact.

We were privileged to have our leadership team present, including SPC Chairman Dr. Manuj C. Weerasinghe, Managing Director Mevan Sampath Subasinghearachchi, General Manager Ayanthi Alwis, as well as DGMS managers and staff. The occasion provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and reflection on our journey in healthcare.
