Upgrading and relocating of SPC Quality Assurance Laboratory in ROS Colombo 07 premises

 We, State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, have relocated our Quality Assurance Laboratory in Colombo 07, Rajya Osusla Premises, with state-of-the-art technology for medicine testing. The new lab was officially opened on 29th November 2023, in the presence of the Honorable Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Minister of Health, the Acting Health Secretary Dr.Sunil de Alwis, Deputy Director General (Laboratory Services) DR.Sudath Dharmarathne, the Chairman-SPC Dr.Ajith Mendis, the Managing Director DR.Wilfred Kumarasiri and General Manager Dinusha Dassanayaka of State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and other distinguished guests.

 The new laboratory will facilitate the testing of medicine samples in four different stages: tender samples, pre-shipment samples, post-shipment samples, and retesting in case of customer complaints. The lab was initially operated at our SPC main headquarters in Fort, and the decision to upgrade and relocate it to a better location was made with the aim of providing the best quality medicines to the nation.

 The laboratory is equipped with the latest technology for medicines testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results. The new location also provides better facilities for staff and a more favorable atmosphere for equipment, enabling us to provide faster and more efficient testing services to our prestige customers.
